On top of the green base is an orange upper base cover which is in turn supporting an orange shaft connected to an double support arm. At the very top is a brass colored finial to complete the lamp post. The base has a brass name plate American Flyer lines.
To make the lamp post work you attach two wires to the two fanatic clips on the base of the lamp post and then connect them directly to your transformer.
