The cord of the transformer and the wires around the track contact have never been un wound or used, I bought this many years ago as part of a large estate find in pa that was full of truly mint and Ln trains and toys, including mint marx train sets both boxed and unboxed. All original inserts are present and in beautiful shape.
I have no way to test the power unit, and would not do so if I could given the condition of the loco and the set. All of the pieces are sparkling with no breaks or defects. It was rare to find mint marx trains back then, and its even tougher today. Nothing is broken, and everything is original and complete.
